2016 Dodge Charger, Challenger Hellcat prices to rise by $3-4k

Possibly to cash in on the popularity of the 707hp/527kW supercharged V8 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats, prices are going up by a few grand in 2016.

The 2016 model year Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will rise by US$4,200 to US$62,495. The less powerful SRT 392 goes up by US$3,500 to US$49,195.

The 2016 model year Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat increases by US$3,650 to US$65,945, while the Charger SRT 392 is up by US$3,000 to US$50,995.

Given that orders were suspended earlier this year, it’s no surprise to see prices rise.

Both the Challenger and Charger Hellcats are powered by a 6.2-litre Hemi Hellcat V8 with 707hp (527kW) and 650 lb-ft (881Nm) of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
