Unless you live in Puerto Rico, the Mitsubishi Mirage is not a big seller in the USA. As such, it will skip the 2016 model year.
Probably due to the cost of federalizing a 2016 model year car and the likelihood that Mitsubishi has a fair amount of unsold 2015 model year Mirage stock on hand, it will keep selling the current two tier Mirage hatch range in its current form for a while yet.
Then some time in 2016 Mitsubishi will introduce a slightly updated 2017 model year Mirage.
