2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe (C238): Bigger, prettier, a real E too

The new (C238) Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe has a B pillar free design, crystal effect taillamps, and now uses the W213 E-Class sedan platform.


At its European launch, there will be one diesel engine, and three gas engines.

The E220d is a 2-liter turbo-diesel with 143kW (194hp) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft). There’s also the E200 2-liter turbo-gas with 135kW (184hp) and 300Nm (221 lb-ft), the E300 2-liter gas with 180kW (245hp) and 370Nm (273 lb-ft), and E400 4Matic 3-liter V6 with 245kW (333hp) and 480Nm (354 lb-ft).

All engines have a 9-speed automatic as standard.

Available technology includes flat LED taillamps with crystal optics and LED Multibeam headlamps that light up in sequence, two interior 12.3-inch high resolution displays, air suspension, adjustable dampers, and internet hotspot.
