XP130 Toyota Yaris/Vitz given Aygo-style facelift on some models

Toyota has unveiled a facelift for its XP130 Yaris and Vitz ranges for Europe and Japan, but details are light on the ground right now.

For Europe the revised XP130 Toyota Yaris, at least in Hybrid guise, will feature a new front end look that bears a striking resemblance to the X-theme Toyota Aygo. Out the back there are resculptured LED tail-lights. On the Yaris Hybrid the car’s updated headlights feature LED driving lights. EU Yarises will continue to feature 1- and 1.3-litre petrol motors, a 1.4-litre turbo diesel and a hybrid variant.

In Japan the facelifted XP130 Toyota Vitz is generally more mild, with only one model (the sporty looking RS) taking on the EU’s super aggressive front bumper and intake arrangement. The RS also features Altezza-style tail-lights with afterburner-like indicators, braking and driving lights.

The other models (F, U, Jewela) make do with a milder front-end arrangement, but all feature new headlight arrangements and LED tail-lights. For those interested in pink trimmed interiors the Vitz Jewela will be right up your alley.
