XA40 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid headlines facelifted SUV range

The key new model of the facelifted XA40 Toyota RAV4 range is the new Hybrid, which has a total of 194hp (145kW) from its 2.5-liter I4 and electric motor.


Under the hood there’s a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor that together make 194hp (145kW) and 206 lb-ft (279Nm) in total. The RAV4 Hybrid can do 0 to 60mph in 8.1 seconds or around a second quicker than the regular gas models.

In the US, non-hybrid versions of the facelifted RAV4 have a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with 176hp (131kW) and 172 lb-ft (233Nm), and a 6-speed auto. FWD is standard in most models, with AWD an option.

All facelifted RAV4 models have a new front end look with sleeker new bi-LED headlights, grille and bumper. There’s also new taillights with optional LED elements.
