T9 Peugeot 308 GTi: 270hp/200kW or 250hp/184kW 1.6L turbo

The new T9 Peugeot 308 GTi has been launched with the choice of two engine tunes: a 270hp version and a 250hp model.

Both cars have a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (with automatic start/stop) driving the front wheels via a 6-speed manual. The GTi 250 has a 250hp/184kW and 330Nm version of the engine. The GTi 270 ups that with 270hp/200kW and 330Nm.

The GTi 270 has 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/35 Michelin Super Sport tires. On the GTi 250 that setup is optional, with 18-inch alloys and 225/40 Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tires standard. The GTi models sit 11mm closer to the ground.

A Torsen limited-slip differential, 380mm front discs with red Peugeot calipers and 268mm rear discs are standard on the GTi 270. Alternate rear “colourways” are available in red, blue, black, grey (two types) and white.
