ND Mazda MX-5 pricing starts at $25k in the US

Mazda USA has revealed the pricing of the fourth generation (ND) Mazda MX-5, nee Miata, which starts at just shy of US$25k.


The US ND MX-5 range starts with the Sport model, which is priced at US$24,915. It features 16-inch alloys, cruise control, LED headlights and tail-lights, Bluetooth, leather shift knob, power door locks and USB port as standard.

Next is US$28,600 Club that gains 17-inch gun-metal gray alloy wheels with 204/45 tires, front and rear lip spoilers, piano black roll bars and mirror caps, 7-inch Mazda Connect touchscreen infotainment system, satellite radio, 9-speaker Bose sound system with built-in headrest speakers. Manual cars have Bilstein shocks, tower braces and LSD as well.

An optional package on the Club adds 17-inch forged BBS alloys, Brembo brakes, side sill extensions and bumper skirt.

The US$30,065 Grand Touring adds garage door opener, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive headlights, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, leather trimmed heated seats, climate control air conditioning, and 17-inch sparkly alloy wheels.

A 6-speed automatic transmission is a US$1,075 option throughout the range.

The first 1,000 ND MX-5 sold in the US will be Launch Edition models. Priced at US$30,495, the Launch Edition is based on the top spec Grand Touring, and adds keyless entry and start, and an exclusive red exterior and sport tan interior.
