E170 Toyota Corolla Nurburgring Edition is no joke

And in it way it very much is. Created by Toyota Thailand, the Corolla Altis ESport Nurburgring Edition was crafted to capitalise on the company’s seventh-place class finish at the Nurburgring 24 Hours race.

Based on the sporty-looking-ish ESport trim level, the Nurburgring Edition gains 17-inch alloy wheels and a reworked suspension package. The car is also fitted with revised aero bits, darkened grille slats, thick red accents for the interior, and LED driving lights, but no extra power.

This means there’s the 1.8-litre naturally aspirated engine still generates about 105kW (141hp) for the front wheels. Worst of all, this special edition car is only offered with a continuously variable transmission.
