DJ Mazda 2 sedan on sale from 2015; looks surprisingly good

Mazda has unveiled a sedan version of 2 small car at the Thailand International Motor Show. The small sedan will go on sale there in 2015.

Both the DJ Mazda 2 5-door hatchback and 4-door sedan will soon into production at Mazda’s Thailand factory, and will go on sale across the country from 2015. It’s likely that the 2 sedan will also head to showrooms across Asia and other parts of the world which generally prefer sedans to hatchbacks.

In Thailand, the Mazda 2 will be sold with the company’s 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, dubbed SkyActiv-D.

Like the Mazda 2 hatch that’s on sale throughout much of the rest of the world, the Mazda 2 sedan will feature a high quality interior, with top-spec models featuring the company’s new Mazda Connect (or MZD Connect) entertainment and navigation system, which features both a tablet-style touchscreen and rotary controller knob.

Unlike many small hatches that get converted into sedans, the DJ Mazda 2 actually looks good.
