2021 McLaren Elva: Open top car inspired 1960s racers

The 2021 McLaren Elva inspired by the 1960s McLaren-Elva race cars designed by Bruce McLaren, and the 2 seater is the company’s lightest modern car.

While the M1A and McLaren-Elva had a 4.5L Oldsmobile V8, the Elva is powered by a 4L twin turbo V8 with 600kW (804hp) and 800Nm (590 lb-ft). The 0-100km/h time is under 3s, and has a 0-200km/h time of 6.7s (faster than the McLaren Senna).

A windscreen optional, and windshield free models have an active air management system to keep some of the wind out of the driver and passenger’s face.

Just 399 Elvas will be made, and prices begin at £1,425,000 (US$1.85 million) in the UK (including VAT).
