2020 Toyota Supra (A90) to debut at 2019 Detroit Auto Show in January

The fifth generation or A90 Toyota Supra (A90) will make its full debut at 2019 Detroit Auto Show, which begins on January 14, the company has confirmed.

Development of Toyota’s new sports car is nearly at an end. After the original FT-1 Concept debuted at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, the production car will be revealed at the 2019 Detroit show.

A full pre-production prototype of the new Supra made its public debut at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it roared up the hillclimb run.

The new Supra is based on the same platform as the G29/third generation 2019 BMW Z4. Both cars will be available with a turbocharged BMW 3L I6 gas engine and RWD.

Production of the new Supra begins during the first half of 2019. The first production car off the line will be auctioned off for charity.
