Purists rejoice! For 2020, the Porsche 911 Carrera S and Carrera 4S models are available with a 7-speed manual transmission. At no cost!
Replacing the standard 8-speed dual clutch PDK transmission makes acceleration significantly slower. The PDK 911 Carrera 4S has a 0-100km/h time of 3.7s, but the 7-speed manual model requires 4s for 0-60mph.
The manual 911 Carrera S and 4S also have a mechanical torque vectoring limited slip differential instead of the PDK model’s electronic LSD.
7-speed manual models have Sport Chrono with dynamic drivetrain mounts, sport mode and rev matching as standard.
