2020 Ford Transit facelift: New engines, 10-speed auto, AWD option

The 2020 Ford Transit facelift is very subtle, but it hides many important changes, including two new engines, a 10-speed auto, and optional AWD.

A 4G LTE WiFi hotspot is also standard, as is autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, and automatic high beams.

A new EcoBlue 2L twin-turbo diesel I4 replaces the old van’s 3.2L I5, and has more power and torque.

Meanwhile a 3.5L V6 with port and direct injection replaces the old 3.7L V6. The 3.5L turbo V6 has been upgraded with automatic engine stop/start.

All engines come with a 10-speed auto as standard.

Optional features include AWD, blind spot monitoring, side sensing, rear cross traffic alert, parking assistance, adaptive cruise control, and split view front and rear cameras.

The new interior comes with a 4″ entertainment display or an option 8″ touchscreen with Sync 3 infotainment system.
