2020 BMW M8 and M8 Competition have twin turbo 4.4L V8

The new 2020 BMW M8 Competition will be the 8-Series’ most powerful and sportiest two door models for now, and have a 4.4L twin turbo V8.


For the M8 Competition the 4.4L twin turbo V8 makes 460kW (617hp) at 6,000rpm and 750Nm (553 lb-ft) between 1,800 and 5,600rpm, while the standard M8 model has just 441kW (591hp) at 6,200rpm.

An 8-speed automatic, rear biased AWD, and 20″ wheels with 275/35 front and 285/35 rear tires, are all standard.

The M8 Competition has a 0-100km/h time of 3.2s (3.3s in the convertible), while the M8 needs 3.3s (3.4s in the convertible).
