2019 Nissan Maxima facelift: More aggressive looks for 4-door sports sedan

The 2019 Nissan Maxima has a more aggressive face with new bumpers, grille, headlamps, taillamps, and improved safety features.

With the new Altima now on sale with a lighter, newer platform, optional AWD, a trick variable compression ratio turbo engine, and almost the same size, Nissan has revised the Maxima to, you know, be the 4-door sports car it claims it is.

It keeps its 300hp (224kW) 3.5L V6 for those who think turbocharged engines are a bit too new age and hippy dippy.

Hence the more aggressive looks with the deeper V-motion grille, and updated interior materials, including diamond quilted tan leather upholstery.

Available safety equipment includes autonomous emergency braking, autonomous rear braking, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, rear cross traffic alert, smart cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and driver alertness monitoring.

The 2019 Nissan Maxima goes on sale in the USA from December 2018.
