2016 Mitsubishi Lancer: New face, Ralliart dumped

For the 2016 model year, Mitsubishi has revised the front end of the Lancer, tweaked the specifications, and dumped the turbo Ralliart.

The most noticeable change is the removal of the single frame grille and the addition of a C shaped set of LED daytime running lights. There’s also a slightly revised interior, and climate control and cruise control are standard on all models.

The base ES still uses a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine with 148hp (110kW), although it can now be optioned with AWD. Other models in the Lancer range use the more powerful 168hp (125kW) 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine.

As we’ve known for a while, the Evolution is as dead as a dodo. The milder, but still turbocharged Ralliart, is also sadly joining the deceased list.
