2017 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is wide body, carbonfiber madness

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is the company’s most powerful road car ever, and only 300 will be hand built with wider fenders, and carbonfiber and aluminum panels.

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has a 5-liter supercharged V8 with 441kW (592hp), 8-speed Quickshift automatic, carbon ceramic brakes, F1-style silicon nitride ceramic wheel bearings, and adjustable ride height suspension and aerodynamics.

The XE SV Project 8 is the first production car to be fully hand made at SVO’s new £20 million (US$25.9 million) SVO Technical Centre in Warwickshire, UK. All Project 8 cars will be left hand drive, even UK models.

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has a starting price of £149,995 (US$193,950) in the UK for the 4-seat version. In all markets except the USA and Canada, an optional 2-seat Track Pack with racing seats and harnesses is available, and saves 12.2kg (26.9 lb).
