Volkswagen has dropped the Golf wagon models from its US range, leaving its US dealers without any wagons in its range for the first time since 1965.
Blame the crossovers, that’s what Scott Keogh, CEO of Volkswagen of America, says.
“SUVs have definitely assumed the mantle of family haulers from the station wagons and minivans we remember from our childhoods,” Keogh said.
The Golf Sportwagen and Alltrack production will end with the 2019 model year.
