Seat Leon X-Perience: Go off-road with the Seat Outback wagon

Seat has taken the Leon ST wagon and given it the Subaru Outback treatment.

Like the Outback, the Seat Leon X-Perience features jacked up suspension (15mm higher than the regular ST wagon) and all-wheel drive. There’s also dark brown/grey plastic on the lower body, and bashplate-style silver colour plastic on the front and rear bumpers.

The Leon X-Perience is powered by a choice of three diesel motors: a 81kW/250Nm 1.6-litre, a 110kW/320Nm 2-litre and the range topping 135kW/380Nm 2-litre. Just one petrol engine is offered, a 132kW/280Nm 1.8-litre turbo. Both the petrol and top-line diesel feature a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard.

Automatic engine start/stop is standard throughout the Leon X-Perience range. In normal driving the rear axle is decoupled from the drivetrain to improve fuel economy. An electronic diff lock is fitted to both the front and rear axles.

Optional equipment on the Leon X-Perience includes LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, emergency city braking, drowsiness detection, lane keeping assistance, and a 135W, 10-speaker sound system.
