Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered concept: Plug-in hybrid for fun

The Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered concept at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show adds some zest to the sedan’s new plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Like the 508 Hybrid, the Sport Engineered concept has a 147kW (197hp) turbocharged 2L gas engine and a 82kW (110hp) electric motor driving the front wheels, and a 150kW (201hp) electric motor for the rear wheels.

It has a 0-100km/h time of 4.3s, and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph). The 11.8kWh battery means it has an EV range of 50km (31mi).

Painted in Selenium Grey, the 508 Sport Engineered concept also has a new front bumper with 3D printed valence, a new rear diffuser, subframe flaps, and winglets on the quarter panels.

The interior has Alcantara trim for the headliner, A-pillar, seats and steering wheel.
