Opel Vivaro Surf concept could go into limited production

The Opel Vivaro Surf concept previews a surfing friendly van that could into limited production soon.

The Vivaro Surf concept can seat either five or six people, and is based on the CrewCab version of the X82 Vivaro and has Irmscher alloy wheels and LED lights.

The interior has modified by Snoeks Automotive to include blue lighting and roof liner, and a special surfboard bracket. There’s also a Irmscher Tourer Pack with black leather seats and silver stitching.

Power comes from a twin-turbo diesel engine with 103kW/140hp and 340Nm/251 lb-ft. Top speed is 180km/h (112mph), fuel economy is 6.1L/100km (38.5mpg), and CO2 output 160g/km.

Opel says it has sold 90,000 X82 Vivaros since it went on sale a year ago. The Vivaro Surf concept “could soon go into production as a ‘Limited Edition'”.
