Mitsubishi Mirage/Attrage sedan: rebadged, sold by Chrysler in Mexico

Inexpensive sedans typically do well in the Mexican car market, so slightly modifying the Mitsubishi Mirage/Attrage sedan and turning it into a Chrysler or Dodge makes perfect sense.

According to official figures, the B-segment represents around 23% of the Mexican car market or around 250,000 sales in 2013 alone.

Mitsubishi will begin sending Mirage/Attrage sedans from its plant in Thailand to Mexico from November 2014. No word yet on whether the car will retain its Mitsubishi badging, like the (Hyundai) i10 by Dodge, or whether it will gain a Chrysler or Dodge in its stead.

It’s also unknown whether the car will be marketed as a Mirage or under some other nameplate, like Colt.
