Kia Imagine: Electric concept makes fun of our love of large touchscreens

The Kia Imagine concept is an electric based on a dedicated EV platform with batteries in the floor, and is around the size of the Ford Focus.

The dedicated EV platform allows for a large roomy cabin with a flat floor, and the battery can be charged wirelessly. No details about power or range have been released.

It’s also got an illuminated tiger nose grille, and rides on 22″ wheels with Goodyear 255/35 R22 Intelligrip EV Concept tires.

According to Gregory Guillaume, vice president for design for Kia Europe, the company has injected a sense of humor into the car by fitting with it 21 thin screens on the dashboard instead of the usual supermassive touchscreen.

“These 21 incredibly thin screens are a humorous and irreverent riposte to the on-going competition between some automotive manufacturers to see who can produce the car with the biggest screen,” Ralph Kluge, manager of interior design for Kia Europe, said.
