Hyundai iMax N Drift Bus: Minivan gains twin-turbo V6 and RWD

Created for the 2019 World Time Attack Challenge by Hyundai Australia, the iMax N Drift Bus takes a van-based minivan and gives it a personality makeover.

The iMax’s regular 2.5L turbo-diesel I4 FWD powertrain is swapped out for a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 with 300kW (402hp) and 555Nm (409 lb-ft). The V6 drives the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic.

The Drift Bus rides on 19″ wheels from the i30 N hot hatch, electronically controlled dampers, and performance tires.

Inside the Drift Bus has N steering wheel and front seats, while the two other rows are fitted with matching suede and leather. The Drift Bus seats 8 unlike the earlier Ford Transit Supervan and Renault Espace F1.

Sadly the iMax N Drift Bus isn’t going into production, it’s just a one off for the time attack event.
