The Hyundai Elantra GT hatch has been axed from the US range with buyers preferring crossovers to the Euro flavor hatch.
Both the Elantra GT and Elantra GT N Line hatch will not enter the 2021 model year. The N Line hatch will be replaced by the new turbo Elantra N Line sedan.
According to Hyundai, buyers looking for a sedan alternative have been buying Kona and Tucson SUVs instead. Anyone who wants a Hyundai hatch will be steered towards the Veloster.
The i30, the version of the Elantra GT sold in Europe, South Korea and elsewhere, will continue, and will be renewed for another generation.
