Audi E-Tron GT: Porsche Taycan based electric sedan confirmed for 2020

Look out Tesla Model S, the Audi E-Tron GT is going into production from late 2020, and the all electric sedan is based on the Porsche Taycan’s platform.


Shown in concept form at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, the E-Tron GT concept car has 434kW (582hp), all wheel drive, and all wheel steering.

The concept rides on 22″ wheels with 285/30 tires, and has a carbonfiber roof, aluminum parts and a high strength steel body.

Its 90kWh lithium ion battery pack has a WLTP range of over 400km (248mi), and its aggressive regenerative braking is responsible for improving range by around 30%.

The concept supports 11kW wireless charging (good for an overnight recharge) and 800V fast charging, which can recharge the battery to 80% in 20 minutes.

The Premium Platform Electric (PPE) developed by Porsche will be used by Audi for B to D segment EVs.
