2020 Mercedes-Maybach GLS: Being rich doesn’t mean you have taste

The 2020 Mercedes-Maybach GLS is the super luxury version of the company’s largest SUV, and it has only two rows of seats.


Standard features include 22″ wheels, electric running boards, and Nappa leather for the dashboard and trim. Options include 23″ wheels, and a fixed center console with folding tables, fridge and champagne flutes making the car a spacious 4 seater.

The rear seats recline and have leg rests, their own air conditioning system, heating units, and MBUX infotainment screen.

At launch the GLS600 4Matic has a 4L turbo V8 with 410kW (558hp) between 6,000 and 6,500rpm, and 730Nm (538 lb-ft) between 2,500 and 5,000rpm. A further 16kW (22hp) and 250Nm (184 lb-ft) is available from the integrated starter alternator EQ Boost mild hybrid system.
