The 6.2L supercharged V8 in the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing makes it easier for us to forgive the fake window in the C pillar.
Although it has Blackwing badges, it doesn’t have the (less powerful) 4.2L twin-turbo Blackwing V8 from the CT6.
Instead it uses an updated 6.2L supercharged V8 from the CTS-V with 498kW (668hp) and 893Nm (659 lb-ft). A 6-speed manual is standard, and a 10-speed auto optional.
With the automatic, the CT5-V Blackwing has a 0-60mph time of 3.7s, and a top speed of 322km/h (200mph).
Standard features include Brembo brakes, 19-in wheels, new aero, carbonfiber parts, a 12-in configurable display, and a 15-speaker AKG sound system.
Prices start at US$84,990, and deliveries begin summer 2021.
