2021 Ram 1500 TRX hunts Ford F-150 Raptor with Hellcat engine

Wider body, more offroad ability, supercharged V8 performance, the Ram 1500 TRX (pronounced T-Rex) wants to eat Raptors for breakfast.


Under the functional hood scoop is 6.2L supercharged V8 with 524kW (702hp) and 881Nm (650 lb-ft). On road it has a top speed of 190km/h (118mph), and 0-60mph in 4.5s.

The drivetrain has an 8-speed auto, four wheel drive system with a Dana 60 solid rear axle (3.55 ratio), and an electronic locking rear differential.

It rides on 18-by-9-inch aluminum wheels (optional beadlock), Goodyear Wrangler Territory 325/65 All-Terrain 35-inch tires, independent front suspension system with active damping, and front and rear 2.5-inch Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks. The front brakes are a massive 15″

Ground clearance is improved to 11.8″ (2″ more than standard) for 32″ water fording, and wheel travel is improved by 40% to over 13″ at each corners. The body is 8″ wider with composite fender flares.

Other standard features include LED adaptive headlights, a flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum paddle shifters, specifications plate on the console lid, and a new head-up display.
