2021 Hyundai Kona N: Hot hatch performance, SUV practicality

Well done to Hyundai for making a truly desirable compact SUV. The Kona N has the heart of the i30/Elantra N and the space of an SUV.

With a 2L turbo I4 with 206kW (276hp) and 392Nm (289 lb-ft) — power overboost to 213kW (286hp) for 20 second bursts — the Kona N has can do 0-100km/h in 5.5s, and a top speed of 240km/h (149mph).

The only downside is that it only comes with a 8-speed DCT and FWD, there’s no manual or AWD option, although LSD is standard.

19-in wheels, and sporty styling changes are all standard.
