2021 Chevrolet Suburban vs Tahoe: Differences & changes compared

The Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe dominate the full size SUV market, and they’ve been redesigned for 2021. See how they differ from each other side by side.

Suburban
Tahoe
Like earlier generations, the Suburban and Tahoe share the front end. They are also available with the same 5.3L V8, 6.2L V8 and 3L turbo-diesel I6 engines.

Tahoe
The big difference (again) between the Tahoe and Suburban is overall length, with the Suburban having a longer wheelbase and rear overhang. With the new model, the Tahoe has closed the gap. The Tahoe's length has grown 6.7-in (170mm), while the Suburban is just 1.3-in (33mm) longer. So the difference in length has shrunk from 20.4-in (518mm) to just 15-in (381mm).

Tahoe
With the 2021 models, the Tahoe has been given a slightly sportier look with a (slightly) racier window line.
Suburban
Tahoe
Both the new Tahoe and Suburban have classier interiors, and less trucklike dashboards.

While the Tahoe is a lot bigger, and the Suburban a bit bigger, the Suburban still has significantly more space, especially in the trunk and for anyone seated behind the first row.
