The 2020 Volkswagen ID.3 is the company’s first all electric model on the MEB platform, and is now available for preorder in Europe.
There will be three battery offerings in the new Golf class ID.3: base 330km (205mi), midrange 420km (261mi), and top end 550km (342mi).
In Germany the 330km model will be priced below €30,000 (US$33,500) before government incentives. The 1ST launch edition with the 420km battery will be priced under €40,000 (US$64,700).
Pre-orders have now begun in 29 European countries. Production of the ID.3 will begin at the end of 2019, and deliveries start in 2020.
Volkswagen plans to sell around 100,000 ID.3 hatches in Europe every year.
All range estimates are done with the WLTP cycle.
