2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost High Performance has Focus RS engine

A pony car with the heart of a European hot hatch, that’s the new 2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost High Performance Package, which also gains a few GT features.

Under the hood is the Focus RS’ 2.3L turbocharged I4 engine with 330hp (246kW) and 350 lb-ft (475Nm) when using premium fuel. A 6-speed manual is standard, and a 10-speed auto is optional.

The 0-60mph is in the mid-4s range, and the top speed is now 155mph (249km/h), up from 145mph (233km/h) in the Mustang EcoBoost Performance Package, and well up from the 121mph (195km/h) of the standard Mustang EcoBoost.

Features taken the V8 Mustang GT include a strut tower brace, larger brake calipers and rotors, a thicker roll bar, 19″ wheels with 255/40 tires, larger front splitter and belly pan, brake cooling ramps, black out grille, and Torsen 3.55:1 LSD rear axle.

There’s also recalibrated steering, ABS, and stability control.
