2020 Aston Martin DBX: A super luxury SUV that actually looks good

After the ugliness of the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the 2020 Aston Martin DBX is a breath of beautifully scented fresh air.

Although it’s one with a few off notes. From some angles, the rear trunk spoiler is just a bit too much, but otherwise it’s a welcome relief after the other two British superlux SUVs.

Under the hood is a Mercedes-AMG 4L twin-turbo V8 with 405kW (543hp) at 6,500rpm, and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) between 2,200 and 5,000rpm. The 2,245kg SUV has a 0-100km/h time of 4.5s, and a top speed of 291km/h (181mph).

Standard fittings include AWD, a 9-speed auto, 22″ wheels with 285/40 Pirelli P Zero front tires and 325/35 rear tires, 800W 14-speaker sound system, 10.25″ touchscreen, 12.3″ instrumentation screen, and flush door handles.

The DBX is priced from £158,000 in the UK, €193,500 in Germany, and US$189,900 in USA. Orders are available now, and deliveries begin Q2 2020.
