2019 Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman T: Stripped out for more pure driving

The 2019 Porsche 718 Boxster T, and Cayman T have been stripped back to reduce weight and improve handling feel. A 220kW (295hp) 2L turbo is standard.


Both T model have a 2L turbo H4 with 220kW (295hp) and 380Nm (280 lb-ft), and a short shifting 6-speed manual. A 7-speed dual clutch PDK transmission is available.

Suspension is lowered by 20mm (0.8″), torque vectoring, the Sport Chrono package, and a mechanical locking rear differential are standard. The 718 Boxster T and 718 Cayman T both ride on 20″ wheels.

Equipment has been pared back to reduce weight to 1,350kg (2,976 lb) in the manual and 1,380kg (3,042 lb) in the PDK. 0-100km/h comes in 5.1s in the manual, and 4.7s in the PDK. Top speed is 275km/h.

The T doesn’t have an infotainment system (it’s a no cost option to add back in), black door pulls, sports seats with electric two way adjustment, and black Sport-Tex for the center sections.
