2019 Acura ILX: Second facelift keeps old Civic platform going

The Acura ILX has been given its second facelift for the 2019 model year. With its new Diamond Pentagon Grille, the ILX now resembles the TLX, RDX, etc.

The 2019 Acura ILX also has restyled LED headlamps and taillamps, new bumpers, a sharper hood, new trunklid, and a rear diffuser. A-Spec models have new 18″ wheels, while other variants have new 17″ rims.

The A-Spec appearance package also has dark chrome for the grille and lower fascia, tinted headlamps and taillamps, and a glossy black trunk lid spoiler.

All 2019 ILX models are powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4L I4 with 201hp, and an 8-speed dual clutch transmission.

Also standard on all models is the AcuraWatch safety suite, which includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and road departure mitigation.

There’s also a revised two screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

The 2019 Acura ILX goes on sale in the USA from October.
