2018 Opel/Vauxhall Grandland X: FWD SUV based on Peugeot platform

The new Opel/Vauxhall Grandland X will now be the brand’s largest SUV, sitting above the Mokka X and Crossland X.

Like the Crossland X, the Grandland X was developed on a Peugeot/Citroen EMP2 platform. It is almost the same size as the Peugeot 3008.

The Grandland X, like its Peugeot and Citroen relations, isn’t available with AWD. Instead it has FWD and the Grip Control system.

OnStar is standard on all models, with other available technology including LED adaptive headlamps, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and drowsiness alerts.

The Opel/Vauxhall Grandland X will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and goes on sale from 2018.
