2018 Ford Ranger Raptor has 2L twin-turbo-diesel, V6 gas turbo for US

The Ford Ranger Raptor has been unveiled. This model for Asia, Latin America and the rest of world has a 2-liter twin-turbo diesel, but will not be sold in the United States.

The twin-turbo 2-liter diesel engine has 157kW (211hp) and 500Nm (369 lb-ft). When the Ranger Raptor is released in the US, it will likely have an EcoBoost V6 gas engine instead.

The AWD Ranger Raptor has a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Inspired by the F-150 Raptor, the Ranger Raptor has a bold grille with “FORD” lettering, massively wider fenders with black extensions, new bumpers and air intakes, new LED fog lamps, Fox Racing Shox shock absorbers at the front and rear, a new Watt’s linkage rear suspension with coilover rear springs, integrated tow hooks at the rear rated at up to 3.8 tonnes (8,378 lb).

Inside, there’s off-road front seats with suede inserts, and an on-center marker for the steering wheel.
