The front of the Explorer has received the largest update, although if you can't spot it, we won't blame you. There's a new pattern for the grille insert, and the front bumper has been redesigned with new fog lights and fake air intakes underneath.

The lower part of the rear bumper has been tweaked. On the 2018 Explorer Sport, seen here, there's a new diffuser-type element and quad chrome tips for the exhaust setup. The Sport also has smoked tail-light lenses.

The updated Explorer is now fitted with the Sync 3 infotainment and navigation system instead of the awful MyFord Touch unit. There's also an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot.
