2018 Dodge Durango SRT: 6.4-liter V8 joining with 2017 facelift

The Dodge Durango will be kept fresh for the 2018 model year with a mild facelift, and a new SRT version that will use a 6.4-liter Hemi V8.


Automotive News is reporting that that the Dodge Durango will be “freshened” in the 2017 calendar year. So, expect tweaked bumpers, grille, trim levels, and so forth.

The big news is that the 2018 model year Dodge Durango will also feature a new SRT model — what took them so long!? — which will use the same 6.4-liter Hemi V8 used in the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, and elsewhere.

The Jeep Grand< Cherokee SRT uses a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 475hp (354kW) and 470 lb-ft (637Nm). Fitted with a standard 8-speed automatic and AWD, the Grand Cherokee SRT has a top speed of 160mph (258km/h).
