2017 Toyota 86: $950 more expensive than 2016 Scion FR-S

The facelifted 2017 Toyota 86 has a starting price of US$26,255 in the US, making it US$950 more expensive than the pre-facelift Scion FR-S that it replaces.

Toyota has released its latest pricing schedule, and it includes the revised Toyota 86. There are just two 86 models, a 6-speed manual with an MSRP of US$26,255, and a 6-speed automatic starting at US$26,975.

With the phasing out of the Scion brand, the FR-S will adopt Toyota badges and the 86 name used throughout most of the world.

The facelifted 86 coupe has redesigned bumpers, headlights, taillamps, and alloy wheels. Manual cars also get a bit more performance from the 2-liter H4, with power up 5hp (4kW) to 205hp (153kW), and torque is up 156 lb-ft (212Nm).
