2017 McLaren 720S: Second-gen Super Series has new 4L twin-turbo V8

The new McLaren 720S is the first second generation Super Series model, and it replaces the 650S supercar in McLaren’s range.

The mid engine, RWD, 2-seat McLaren 720S has carbonfiber chassis and Monocage II central structure, and a dry weight of 1,283kg (2,829 lb).

It has a new 4-liter twin-turbo V8 with 530kW (710hp) and 770Nm (568 lb-ft), and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The 720S has a 0-100km/h time of 2.8s, 0-200km/h in 7.8s, and 0-60mph in 2.8s.

Braking from 200km/h (124mph) to standstill takes 4.6s, and requires 117m (384ft). The 720S has a top speed of 341km/h (212mph).
