2017 HSV GTSR W1 sends RWD Commodore off with 474kW/636hp bang

The RWD Holden Commodore will die this year, but not before HSV sends it off with a big supercharged 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 bang with the GTSR W1.

Under the hood, the 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 engine has 474kW (636hp) and 815Nm (601 lb-ft), and Tremec TR6060 (MH3 spec) 6-speed manual with a ZF Sachs twin-plate clutch.

The HSV GTSR W1 has 20-inch forged alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R 265/35 R20 tires at the front, and 295/30 R20 at the rear.

There’s also Magnetic Ride Control, race dampers, quad exhaust outlets with shadow chrome tips, 12mm (0.5-in) wider fenders with carbonfiber vents, new bumpers, rear diffuser, carbonfiber rear Aeroflow wing, and AP Racing 6-piston brakes with monoblock calipers and 410mm front rotors.

Only 300 HSV GTSR W1s will be made from April.
