2017 Ford Escape facelift: New Edge styling, more tech

The third generation Ford Escape has a new Edge styling, but not New Edge styling, if you know what we mean there.

The range starts with the FWD-only Escape S which has a standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. The Escape SE and Titanium have a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 180hp (134kW) and 185 lb-ft (251Nm) as standard.

A 2-liter twin-scroll turbo with 245hp (183kW) and 275 lb-ft (373Nm) is optional on the SE and Titanium. Both turbo engine have automatic engine stop/start, and optional all-wheel drive. All engines are fitted with a 6-speed auto.

The interior has a redesigned center console with available Sync 3 infotainment system and Sync Connect for remote app control.

Other new features include lane keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automated parking, and driver fatigue monitoring.
