2017 Acura NSX finally rolls down production line in Ohio

The first second generation Acura NSX has (finally) rolled down the production line in Ohio, with the Rick Hendrick taking delivery of the $1.2 million car.

Hendrick won the car at auction, with the US$1.2 million destined to be split between children’s charities. The car bearing VIN 001 has exclusive interwoven wheels, carbon ceramic brake rotors, and leather and Alcantara trim.

It also has an engine cover, roof, and rear spoiler made from carbonfiber.

The new Acura NSX has a hand made 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, three electric motors, and a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. It was largely developed in the USA, and will be built exclusively at a new small run factory in Ohio.

The first concept previewing the new NSX was launched way back in January 2012.
