2015 Ford Focus ST facelift: diesel option, fish face standard

The facelifted Mark III Ford Focus ST has made its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and will available with a diesel motor.

Under the hood the revised Mark III Ford Focus ST has a 2-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with 184kW (247hp) and 360Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque. Non-American market ST buyers can opt for 2-litre turbo-diesel with 136kW (182hp) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.

Ford still refuses to offer an automatic version of the ST, so buyers can either use the standard 6-speed manual or look elsewhere.

Visually the updated ST variant of the third generation Focus has a new front end design that incorporates Ford’s gaping mouth grille, first seen on the Mondeo/Fusion and Fiesta. There’s also 18-inch alloy wheels (19s are optional) and a comprehensive bodykit. There’s also a new flat-bottomed steering wheel, redesigned dashboard controls, LED driving lights and revised steering.

Available features include autonomous emergency braking in the city, adaptive headlights that adjust to steering input, bi-xenon headlights, lane keeping assistance, and an 8-inch touchscreen for the entertainment and nav system.
