2017 Volkswagen T-Roc: New small SUV has funky two tone body

The new Volkswagen T-Roc is a compact SUV that fits in below the Tiguan. With a contrasting roof color, it’s funky in a way the Tiguan never is.

There’s also customization options, like different color pads for the interior.

The Volkswagen T-Roc is based on MQB platform, and a lot smaller than the first and second generation Tiguan at just 4,234mm (166.7-in) long.

Standard features include automated emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, pedestrian monitoring, LED taillamps, LED driving lights, 60/40 split fold rear seats, and a touchscreen infotainment system.

Available features include an electric tailgate, sports seats, adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, blind spot monitoring, traffic jam assist, and adaptive chassis control.

The T-Roc is available with either manual or 7-speed dual clutch transmissions, and standard FWD and optional AWD. Prices start at €20,000 ($23,500) in Germany, with sales beginning November 2017.

There will be three gas and three diesel options at the start, all turbocharged.
