2016 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400: Twin-turbo V6 starts at $48k

With the Eau Rouge dead before arrival, the new Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 is the luxury sedan’s performance high point, and is priced from US$47,950.


Under the hood there’s a 3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 400hp (298kW) and 350 lb-ft (475Nm). The RWD Red Sport 400 carries an MSRP of US$47,950, while the AWD Red Sport 400 is US$2,000 more expensive at US$49,950.

The Red Sport 400 also features a sportier front end, sports brakes (4-piston calipers at front, 2-piston calipers at the back), rack-based electronic power steering with direct adaptive steering, leather sport seats, aluminum pedals, magnesium paddle shifters, exclusive exhaust tips, 19-inc alloy wheels, and red S badging.

The Red Sport 400’s 3-liter twin-turbo V6 will also be used in a less powerful variant, known simply as the 3.0t.
