Groupe PSA (Peugeot) has stopped production of the Regal liftback and TourX wagon, and the Buick range is now all SUVs.
The last non-SUV in Buick’s US range will be axed after the 2020 model year because, well, everyone’s buying crossovers not sedans or wagons.
The 2019 Buick Regal Avenir will be the fourth model to wear the brand’s new top end designation, and includes new styling and features.
The 2019 Buick Regal Avenir liftback has a new grille, 19″ wheels, diamond quilted leather, 8-speaker Bose audio, and a 2L turbo with 250hp and 260 lb-ft.
The new 2018 Buick Regal GS is available in the US only with a liftback body, and a 3.6-liter V6 with 310hp (231kW) and 282 lb-ft (382Nm).

The sixth-gen Buick Regal is already breaking all the rules (no sedan, only a hatch or wagon imported from Germany). Now it will be available with a V6.
The sixth generation Buick Regal sedan has been unveiled, but this body style will only be built in China and sold there.
The 2018 Buick Regal in China is based on the new Opel Insignia, but unlike the Buick/Opel sold elsewhere, it will be available exclusively as a sedan.
The sixth generation Buick Regal is, for a second time, a rebadged Opel Insignia, but this time it will built in Germany, and will be available as a wagon.
