Last ever Top Gear with Clarkson, Hammond, May has a trailer

The BBC has put out a trailer for a special episode of Top Gear, which will be the last time that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will be seen together on the show.

The extended episode will air on BBC Two, although no date has been given. The episode will contain two challenges, one where the boys become classic car buffs, and buy a Fiat 124 Spyder, Peugeot 304 Cabriolet and MGB GT.

In the second film, the three lads buy an SUV for £250 each: Clarkson purchasing a Vauxhall Frontera, Hammond a Jeep Cherokee and May a Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin.

Jeremy Clarkson was let go from the BBC after punching a producer after a heated altercation at a hotel. The three are reportedly in talks with Netflix to revive the Top Gear format, if not the name, which remains the property of the BBC.

The BBC is said to be investigating a revolving lineup of hosts for its next season of Top Gear.

Judging from the photos issued by the BBC for the special episode, May and Hammond will host the links for the show from the Top Gear hangar, but without the customary live audience.
